Overview
Background
Watcha is a Korean-native OTT service in South Korea with over 1.2 million active users per month. To compete western giants like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Watcha has recently made an official announcement that it will be transforming from a OTT platform to All-in-One entertainment platform where users can enjoy all movies, TV shows, music, and webtoons(Korean comics). We are expecting a exponential growth in retention rate due to the seamless transition among those various domains in one single platform.
Watcha has proudly and officially announced that it will provide music, comics, and videos in one single platform! 👏👏👏
My Role
My role at Watcha is to build and design the end-to-end music/video player experience including smooth transition from music to movies/TV shows and vice versa.
